Dr. Sanjeev Mahajan

Dr. Sanjeev Mahajan represents young generation of Sociologists in India. Born in 1975, he was educated in Meerut and Rohtak [B.Sc. (Electronics), PGDBM, PGDHRM, M.A., NET, Ph.D. and D.Litt. in Sociology, LL.B. and M.B.A.]. He has been closely associated with Apex Institute of Management Studies and Research, Meerut; College of Information Technology, Greater Noida; College of Professional Education, Meerut; Nice Management College (Now Shobhit University), Meerut; BDS School of Management, Meerut; Master School of Management, Meerut and Research Foundation, New Delhi. His areas of interest are Industrial Sociology, Sociology of Mass Communication, Sociology of Aging, Empowerment of Women, Criminology.

He is author of many Text Books in Sociology for graduate and postgraduate students of Hindi Speaking states of India. He also has 3 Edited books to his credit. He has participated in 10 International Conferences – three in Thailand, two in China, three in India, one in South Korea and one in Indonesia.

He has completed two major research projects sponsored by University Grants Commission. He has attended and presented papers in many National Workshops and Seminars and organized many seminars sponsored by UGC, UNESCO, Human Rights Commission and IGNOU.

He has also published many research papers in reputed National and International journals. He has also contributed many chapters and articles in various edited volumes.

He is Associate Editor of Two International Peer Reviewed Journals. Presently he is Associate Professor and Head, Department of Sociology, N.A.S. College, Meerut, teaching graduate and post – graduate students besides supervising doctoral research work.
